Early morning pick-up from your hotel or apartment (at 5.45am). Depart for Nairobi National Park which is a short drive out of Nairobi’s central business district. This is the most accessible yet incongruous safari experience. Set on the city’s southern outskirts, Nairobi National Park (at 117 sq km, it’s one of Africa’s smallest) has abundant wildlife which can, in places, be viewed against a backdrop of city skyscrapers and airliners coming to land. It is the only national park on earth that borders a capital city. Remarkably, the animals seem utterly unperturbed by it all.
The park is characterized by wide open grass plains and a backdrop of the city scrapers, scattered acacia bush play host to a wide variety of wildlife including the endangered black rhino, lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, buffaloes, giraffes and diverse birdlife with over 400 species recorded. Nairobi National Park is home to the big five except the elephant and has more than 100 species of wildlife, hippos, crocodiles, and plenty of the migratory game.

Later midmorning, you will checkout of the Nairobi National Park and proceed to Nairobi Safari Walk which is located right at the gate of the National Park.
The Safari Walk is a show case or a sample of all Kenya Parks and Reserves, allowing one to discover what they can expect to see across the entire country. The visit is a sample of the country’s rich animal life including the white rhino and albino zebra, the rare Bongo as well as big cats, antelopes and primates. It is also home to some 100 plus tree species.
After the Walk, have a quick Lunch at the Rangers Restaurant (or a place of your choice on own arrangement) followed by drop-of back to your hotel or at central point of your choice in Nairobi later this afternoon.
